Movie Night: Dead Man Walking

After watching the movie “Dead Man Walking”, members discussed its relevance to the Catholic social teaching against the death penalty. The discussion involved God’s love, mercy, forgiveness, hope, conversion of heart, and “WWJD” (what would Jesus do). Further, members reflected upon how Sister Helen said “I want the last face you look at to be a face of love” to the death row prisoner. The group discussed how each individual can be “a face of love” to others and how “every person is worth more than their worst act.”
